Craig Jarvis

I am grateful for the opportunity to design sustainable homes for my clients. Watch them embrace the journey as it unfolds. Through design and then construction. Watch the excitement build, as what was once only a sketch, an idea, becomes a reality.

There is nothing wrong with wanting to live in a beautiful home, beautifully designed, beautifully finished, and built to the highest quality possible, using only the best materials available.

However, we need to ensure our actions do not cause ourselves harm, or the environment in which we live. We also have a responsibility to ensure our actions do not effect the opportunities for future generations to enjoy nature as we have. This does not mean we have to go without.

It does mean we have to design and build with wisdom and care.

Background

I have been in the building industry my entire life, beginning in 1986 as a building apprentice in Dunedin. Having gained practical skills in those early years, I later went on to train in architecture, this has been my profession ever since. I have been fortunate over the years to have worked with some extremely talented architects while working in London and Melbourne.

This opportunity ensured my work was incredibly varied, allowing myself to gain a useful skill set.

Commercial projects with clients like Walt Disney, Buena Vista, Cathay Pacific.

Residential projects ranging from a 50sqm off the grid eco home, to a 450sqm mulit-million dollar home on the shores of Lake Hayes.

I am grateful for the opportunities I have had, I am also equally excited about the opportunities that lay ahead.
